| ABOUT US |
 |
We are an award winning team of embroidery enthusiasts. Over the past 22
years, we have won nineteen national and international awards including the
1995 Stitch-Off and the 1998 Punch Bowl. Our goal at Sandpiper is to produce
realistic designs that have dimension, texture, and blended thread colors.
Sandpiper Embroidery has been providing stock designs to the commercial and home
embroidery industry for the past ten years. All of our designs are tested
or sold in our own retail store before they are included in our catalog. We
hope that what sells for us will sell for you. Run ability and pliability
are very important.
Owner, Ginny Fineberg, is well known for her column in Stitches Magazine,
Saving Nine and is a regular contributor to such publications
as Stitches Magazine and Impressions Magazine. She is
highly regarded as a speaker at industry trade shows for her seminars
Tips and Tricks, Placement, and Merchandising. She
is readily available by phone and shares her twenty-three years of experience
as a consultant.

Art Director, Kathy Ostrander, is a self-taught artist. She started at
Sandpiper as a machine operator for the first 6 years and has been digitizing
for the past ten years. She was named a "Digitizer of Distinction" in its
first year of conception. She is available for custom digitizing and is the
producer of all our stock desgns.
We can produce
almost any format for you on 3.5" floppy disc or CD. We do not produce a condensed
version. However, if you like something in our catalog, but want it enlarged
or reduced, just ask.
When you receive a design from us, we give you actual color suggestions we
have used and suggest a fabric color the design works well on.
When you succeed, we succeed! |

Padre, COD (Chief Operations Dog) at Sandpiper Embroidery. Most people who
know Sandpiper are familiar with our store mascot and ambassador, Padre.
He grew up at the store with our Art Director, Kathy Ostrander, as a
Seeing Eye Puppy Project. While in training as a Seeing Eye Dog, Padre had
an episode that caused him to change careers and he returned to our Art
Director's family and his Sandpiper family to reside in Cape May County
and be the shop mascot. For thirteen years, Padre was a living fixture at
the store and a favorite among customers who often came just to see him.
He also assisted in raising nine Seeing Eye puppies at Sandpiper during
his career as an embroiderer. On May 26,2002 Padre succumbed to Lymphatic
Cancer at the age of fourteen. He is sorely missed by all those who loved
and knew him. He was a kind and gentle spirit that will be with us always.
Several years ago Ginny Fineberg, owner of Sandpiper, started a fund in
Padre's name to help children and puppies of P.P.A.W.S. 4H Club
(Padre's Club). Funds are used to hold activities, train and expose their
puppies, and for the children to travel as ambassadors for 4H and The
Seeing Eye. Donations may be made in memory of Padre or a favorite per to
the Padre Fund through Sandpiper.
Tax deductible donations should be made to P.P.A.W.S. 4H Club and mailed
to Sandpiper at the address below. An acknowledgement will be sent from
the club. |
